Hours: 0.6 FTE – 3 days per week

Contract: Fixed term (maternity cover)

Gurnard Primary School is a large primary school set in a stunning coastal location. Our very successful Ofsted report highlighted many of the unique ways that we strive to ensure our pupils are successful learners.  An exciting career opportunity exists for experienced or recently qualified teachers to join our team.  We are looking for teachers who are passionate about teaching and who will bring energy, a hard working attitude and new ideas to our school. This post will be based in Key Stage 1.

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

 

Salary: Grade 3. Actual salary £16,893–£17,071 (FTE £25,185-£25,450) Pay award pending

Hours: 28.75 hours a week - 8.30am-3:00pm each day. Term time only.

Starting Date: September 2026 to May 2027. Fixed term to cover maternity leave.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and highly motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our team.  The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced teachers to provide high quality teaching and learning provision.

The successful candidate will need to have:

  • experience of working with children
  • good English, maths, ICT and communication skills (English and maths at Grade C equivalent or above)
  • the ability to work well in a team
  • a positive, flexible, ‘can do’ attitude
  • loads of energy for children that want to learn and play
  • Values that match that of our school – Respect, Success, Belonging
